You Have the Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under federal law, patients who are uninsured or not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the expected costs of their medical care.
This applies to all non-emergency services, including:
- Chiropractic care
- Massage therapy
- Regenerative medicine
- Related items such as imaging, supplies, or supplements (if applicable)
What You Should Know:
- You are entitled to a written Good Faith Estimate of the total expected charges for services and items before you receive them.
- This estimate must be provided at least 1 business day prior to your appointment.
- You can request a Good Faith Estimate at any time, even before scheduling.
- If your final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you may be eligible to dispute the charges through a federal dispute resolution process.
- Keep a copy of your estimate for your records.
